我们的Work has One Goal: Saving Lives.

我们的partnership with our community is the foundation of our critical healthcare mission. Whenever people need blood, we’re here for them. Community support allows us to provide a safe and reliable blood supply to all those who rely on it. As Bloodworks doctors, scientists, specialists, technicians, professionals, and educators – we are leaders in the healthcare community. And as healthcare leaders, we must promote and protect the health of our Pacific Northwest community and the world around us. Amidst the rising cases of the delta variant of COVID-19 and the tragic threat to public health, we must safeguard each other and the community through vaccination.

Bloodworks joins the growing number of experts and institutions requiring COVID-19 vaccinations of health workers.

Mandatory requirements for staff and volunteers

Bloodworks has set a target date of 10/18/21 to achieve a fully vaccinated* Bloodworks staff and volunteer workforce. This is a mandatory program for all employees and volunteers, as a condition of employment and service. This date has been set in consideration of Oregon and Washington governors’ COVID-19 testing and vaccine orders, as well as our ability to track and define compliance with the state requirements. Consistent with federal and state laws, employees may request medical and religious accommodations.*Fully vaccinated means two weeks since final vaccine dose.

Your covid vaccination mandate for employees and volunteers validates my commitment to continue donating O+ blood at Bloodworks NW in Eugene. It’s unfortunate that the American Red Cross has not yet followed your example.
