Test Information In some cases, HIT may be due to an IgA or IgM heparin associated antibody. If clinically indicated, test can be requested with anti-IgG, -A and –M.

Requested Volume 5cc Citrate (blue top)
Sample Information Whole blood specimens can be sent directly to Bloodworks within 24 hours of draw time. Samples may also be spun, frozen at -20°C, and shipped on dry ice after-hours or over the weekend.
Shipping Information Send whole blood at ambient temperature Monday – Friday within 24 hours of draw time. Samples may also be spun, frozen at -20°C, and shipped on dry ice during after-hours or over the weekend
