Lectin Panel (T activation of RBCs)

Indications Used in a patient who is suspected of having T activation or RBC polyagglutination, either acquired or inherited. The test is not routinely ordered as an individual test but used to help resolve complex serologic investigations.
Method Standard test tube methodology, Hemagglutination with reagent lectins
Test Information Test will be performed as soon as possible following sample collection to minimize the chance that falsely positive or falsely negative reactions due to improper storage or contamination.
Sample Requirements EDTA tube. Serum separator gel tube is not acceptable.
Requested Volume 1全7毫升EDTA样本
Minimum Volume or Pediatric volume Minimum volume: 1 full 7 ml EDTA sample
Pediatric: 1 full 3 ml EDTA sample; neonate: 2 full 0.5 ml EDTA microtainers
Sample Information Sample cannot be tested immediately should be stored at 2-8C as soon as possible.
